SADS “The Importance of being Ridiculous”

SADS “The Importance of being Ridiculous” is a dramatic success.

SADS celebrated an extremely successful run of “The Importance of being Ridiculous”. With full houses every night the audience enjoyed high drama, light entertainment and downright lunacy. It was Jen Davies’ last production and she (and Gron) were given a rousing send off. If you would like to join SADS or YSADS call 01437 720111

The Plan is ready – time to back it!

After tremendous support at the final community meeting  – thank you to all who attended – the plan is ready.  Please visit www.schoolsfuture.co.uk/community/plan/
If you want to back the plan  the only way to make your voice heard is to email the Council directly.  A petition will not help.
Only by writing personally can you make a difference.
Whether you are aged 9 or 99 you have a voice that the Council must listen to.  If the communities of Mid and Northwest Pembrokeshire speak with one voice it will carry huge weight.
You do not have to agree with every aspect of the plan to support it.
Your email can be as short or as long as you want.   Give it the title:  Support for the Schools for the Future Plan.   Include your name and address,  and tell the Council your view.          The deadline is Tuesday 5th May
email: educationconsultations@pembrokeshire.gov.uk
Copy us in if you like at myvoice@schoolsfuture.co.uk
and on behalf of future generations in Pembrokeshire, Diolch yn fawr!

Solva WI

Solva WI is happy to report that it has been granted two Public Access Defibrillators from a successful application to the British Heart Foundation. Funds for them were due to a very generous donation from the Solva Business Group and the WI’s own fundraising efforts. The two defibrillators have been delivered and are located at Bay View Stores and Window on Wales. This is a temporary measure until we can afford to buy cabinets for them. These will then be put out doors and be available 24 hours a day. A third defibrillator still needs to be bought and the next fundraising event is entitled “Pig, Pimms, Puds in the Parc for PADS”. Featuring music and song from Rechoired and the Pembrokeshire Ukulele Pirates. Please bring a garden chair or picnic rug to Parc y Capel on Friday 19th June at 7.30 pm. Tickets available at £15 from any WI member.

The next meeting is in Solva Memorial Hall, on Thursday May 14th, starting at 1.00 pm with a SHARED LUNCHEON at 2.00 pm. We will hold our usual business meeting, followed by our speaker Sheena Crossley talking about
HERBS & GARDEN CONTAINERS. New members are always welcome.
