Edge Festival

This is the last newsletter before the Edge Festival takes place on 3/4/5 August.
The organisers would like to thank everybody who has helped in the preparation of the biggest festival yet and remember, all the money raised goes back into our community. We appreciate that to some the festival is disruptive and noisy and to those, we apologise, but please consider that it is just one weekend in the year and to date, the overall benefits to the community have been great. The festival is truly intergenerational with events for all ages, ranging from the river walk and beach safari, through dance and workshops to a lecture on architecture and literature. There are sports events for everyone to take part in. This year we have more bands with the welcome return of the Supaskas, who were such a hit last year, and we also have more variety of music ranging from our local Latin, Raul, to loud and proud rock and roll.
There’s still time to volunteer to help, you will not get paid but you will be part of a fun weekend.
A Volunteers meeting will be held in Harbour Inn at 6.30 pm on Tuesday 10 July.

Treginnis Summer Fete

Friends of Treginnis – Treginnis Summer Fete – Saturday 21 July.
Over the past year, we were able to help 5 schools bring almost 200 children to enjoy everything about the farm and see St Davids. Also, your generosity with donations and events raised enough money for us to bring a group of
children from Grenfell Towers to Treginnis, they had a wonderful time.
These are the reasons we hold the fete each year, so we hope you will attend this year, spend lots of money and help us to do it all over again, and help as many schools as we can come to this beautiful part of Wales. It will be great fun with music, food, drinks, attractions, demonstrations and new this year Circus Whiz, where you can learn circus skills, and dress up as a clown!
The fete will be opened by the Mayor of St Davids, Mike Chant, at 2 pm with the gates opening to the public from 12 noon. We look forward to seeing you all at Treginnis.
