Have your say on new National Park Car Parking Order

Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority is proposing to update its Off-Street Parking Order which provides the legal basis for the management of its car parks.

The current order is out of date, having first been prepared by Dyfed County Council in 1991 and last amended in 1996.

National Park Authority Business and Performance Manager Alan Hare said: “The current Car Parking Order is being updated across all parking areas owned and managed by the Park Authority.

“The revised Order will help ensure that there is a more consistent approach to tackling enforcement issues in the National Park and across the whole of Pembrokeshire through close partnership working with Pembrokeshire County Council.”

“The new order will not increase any of the ticket prices or introduce charging at any new car parks, but it will enable better management and control throughout the year.”

As the Highway Authority, Pembrokeshire County Council will be carrying out the formal legal process required to implement the new order on behalf of the National Park Authority.

Full details of the proposals and a statement of the National Park Authority’s reasons for proposing to make the order, may be inspected at the following locations during normal opening hours, after Wednesday 25 February:

  • County Hall, Haverfordwest;
  • Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority Offices in Llanion Park, Pembroke Dock;
