The biggest ever Edge Festival takes place in Solva on 2/3/4 August.
Advance ticket sales are going really well so try to get yours now and avoid queuing at the gate, or, worse still, being locked out!
The pocket programme is in the shops and pubs of Solva but it is already out of date in that we have an additional surprise act! Once again a huge thank you to the community that is now whole-heartedly supporting this voluntary, fundraising event. Individuals have donated cash, bought raffle tickets and volunteered to help. If you want to join the Edge Voluntary Army let Ifor Thomas know on 07971 038643. We still have some slots to fill!
The volunteers induction meeting will take place on the festival field at 6pm on Thursday 1 August in the Greenscar Bar. Please come and enjoy the range of exciting food from our stall holders, catering for all tastes, washed down with a range of alcoholic and soft drinks, including a huge collection of ales, cider, wine and of course our very own Solva Gin. See you there!
The Edge Festival has sponsored the purchase of polo shirts for our local RNLI lifeboat crew based at St Justinian. On Tuesday 23 July a formal presentation was made to the Lifeboat Coxswain Dai John.
There will be a bottle stall at the festival, to raise funds for 2019 Solva fireworks display. It will be up and running on Saturday 3 August at about 3:30pm in the marquee. Donations for the stall (pop, wine, beer, whatever you’ve got spare) will be very gratefully received, and can be left at Bay View Stores or collected by Vicky (call Vicky on 07748 352889). Please attach a label to any donation with your name or business, if you would like a mention on our sponsors’ board.
